North Dakota Friend

A new blog reader/Instagram follower named Anna sent me the following:

"I've followed you for a couple months now, and specifically remember when I first found your account... I stayed up all night reading blog posts from as far back as they go! I am so inspired by you in so many ways, especially in how you are as a mother. (Because you ARE a mother, a great one, and always will be!) I saw your post about 3:16s the other day and was able to finally sit down and search in my Bible tonight for some good ones. I hope you can read this with zooming in; these are the "best" ones I've found so far... Although I only got to the Book of Matthew. Not sure if you've read these before but they reminded me of you instantly. Especially the verse about seeing one's daughter, then one's son in the chapter immediately following. Wow! Sometimes God communicates with us SO loud and clear! Hope these bring some peace and comfort to you during this incredibly difficult month/time. Hugs and prayers to you, beautiful soul."

I couldn't read what she wrote clearly, so she also emailed the words to me and wrote the following: "I so enjoyed looking up 3:16s in my Bible the other night and will definitely be looking up the rest of the Books soon. God bless you, sweet woman! I think of you often!"

Lily Katherine
*3:16s in honor of @roseandherlily~ Precious child of God born sleeping on 3-16-10. Please hold her mommy closer than ever.

Ruth 3:16- "...is that you, my daughter?" *Lily
then right after Ruth...
1 Samuel 3:16- "...my son!" He answered, "Here I am." *Luke
WOW!

Job 3:16- "Or why was I not hidden like a stillborn child, Like infants who never saw light?"

Psalm 3 is "The Lord Helps His Troubled People" and Psalm 16 is "The Hope of the Faithful, and the Messiah's Victory."

Matthew 3:16- When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the Heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him.

Proverbs 3:16 was good, before and after it was too... So:

Proverbs 3:15-18- "She is more precious than rubies, and all the things you may desire can not compare with her. Length of days is in her right hand, in her left hand riches and honor. Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace. She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her, and happy are all who retain her."

Joel 3:16- The Lord also will roar from the heavens and earth will shake; but the LORD will be a  shelter for His people, and the strength of the children of Israel.

Thanks so much for thinking of my girl and I, Anna. It makes me smile to know someone I've never met in North Dakota cares about us.
