Six and a Half

Happy half-birthday, my beautiful girl, who'd be at the adorable age where it's of the utmost important to include that "half" in there when asked one's age. 🎈

And let's be honest, I love birthdays, half-birthdays, and essentially any reason to celebrate life, so we would for sure be acknowledging the day. 😉

Tonight is also the Harvest Moon, which is special because Lily's little cousin is named Harvest and it's falling on her half-birthday. ❤️

Four and a Half Years of Heaven

Today, September 16th, is Lily Kat's half birthday. She would be 4 1/2 today. That means in just half a year, she would be turning 5!

We all know how important it is for young children to get that half in there when people ask their age. She'd be so proud to be such a big girl.

I thought of her so much today and had a pumpkin-spiced latte in her honor. I enjoyed PSL's often during the fall when I was pregnant with her, so thought that would be appropriate.

Just knowing she has been gone now for 54 months is almost unbelievable. I love and miss you so much, my little flower!

My precious Lily Katherine would be 3 1/2 today if she were here... it's her half birthday.

I have always liked celebrating half birthdays and know that I would have done something special for my girl to mark the day.

Instead, I nearly forgot it was today until I looked at my phone and saw "September 16th." Each time I notice it's the 16th of a month, I think of her.

It's special that I will be speaking at a pregnancy center fundraising banquet this week (on Thursday) during her half birthday week. :)
